Martin Crimp (1956, Dartford, Reino Unido) é um dos dramaturgos mais representados e traduzidos na Europa. Estudou Literatura Inglesa em Cambridge. Escreveu Love Games, a primeira peça, em 1982. Foi dramaturgo residente no Orange Tree Theatre, Richmond, e, mais tarde, no Royal Court Theatre, onde conquistou público e notoriedade, nomeadamente com as peças No One Sees the Video (1990), Getting Attention (1991), The Treatment (1993), (A)tentados (1997), The Country (2000), Face to the Wall (2002), Fewer Emergencies (2005), The City (2008) e In the Republic of Happiness (2012). Traduziu Molière, Ionesco, Koltès, Genet, Marivaux, Tchékhov, Ferdinand Bruckner e Botho Strauss, escreveu dois libretos e o argumento do filme Angel, realizado por François Ozon.
